On July 28, Kazakh leader Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev met with Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov, who reported on the progress of the implementation of the Income Improvement Programme, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
He reported that the government agencies are actively and effectively fulfilling their social obligations. Together with the administrative centres of the cities and regions, complex measures for social integration into the economy of residents without income. The creation of new jobs and opportunities for improving professional skills contribute to reducing unemployment of these segment of the population.
Tugzhanov emphasised that as part of the implementation of investment projects, it is planned to create more than 2 million jobs by 2025, including 444,000 this year. In the first half of the year, 249,000 jobs were created, or 56% of the annual target.
Special attention was paid to extending training and raising salaries under the Youth Practice and First Job projects and increase grants for new business ideas for young people.
