Specialists of Turkmenistan have received a new industrial flow of natural gas from well No.01 of the Sherepli gas field, which is drilled to extract already proven deposits of gas. It was reported by the electronic newspaper «Ussatnews».
Respective drilling work is carried out by employees of the Turkmengazburavlayysh department. They were following a plan developed by the Turkmengaz State Concern. The deposit is located on the territory of Mary province.
The project depth of the well is 2600 meters. A powerful gas flow was received at a depth of 2330 meters. According to the calculations of Turkmen specialists, 695,000 cubic meters of natural gas will be produced from well No.01 of the Sherepli gas field per day.
Geologists noted that the fuel does not contain hydrogen sulfide, which means it meets international standards, and therefore it’s profitable from an economic perspective.
In Mary province, drilling is also carried out on new gas deposits Kelleli and Yylan.
