Minister Jamshid Khodjaev meets with Ambassador of India

The newly appointed Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan and the Ambassador of India discussed the prospects of trade and economic partnerships.

On July 24, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat, the press office of the Ministry reports.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the progress of Uzbekistan-India partnerships in the trade, economic and investment sectors, and identified further steps to implement bilateral agreements.

Jamshid Khodjaev noted that Uzbekistan was seeking to raise the existing level of cooperation with India in medicine, health care and pharmacology, agriculture, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine. According to the Uzbek side, there is great potential for enhancing cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors.

The Indian diplomat noted that there are all opportunities to intensify cooperation with Uzbekistan.

The interlocutors expressed their intention to expediate the development and adoption of the 2022-2023 Programme of Cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, transport, scientific, education and humanitarian sectors between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of India.
