Shavkat Mirziyoyev attends Central Asian Summit

The meeting of the Central Asian leaders is taking place on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.

On July 20, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Cholpon-Ata in Kyrgyzstan to take part in the 4th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov and other officials met the Uzbek leader at the airport.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev had an informal meeting with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev in Cholpon-Ata. The leaders visited the Nomad cultural centre, where they visited a craft exhibition and a concert of folk musicians from the Central Asian states.

The Central Asian leaders will discuss key aspects of partnerships in trade, transport, industrial cooperation, food security, tourism exchange, culture and education. The meeting is expected to result in signing a solid package of documents.

The 3rd Central Asian Summit took place in the Avaza national tourism zone in Turkmenistan last summer, and the previous summits took place in Nur-Sultan and Tashkent, respectively.
