Tokayev orders to qualitatively modernise national military infrastructure

The Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan reviewed the measures directed to the modernisation of the national army and other forces.

On July 15, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev reviewed the priority issues regarding the sustainable development of the agencies responsible for enabling military capability of the country together with the Council members at a regular meeting of the Security Council, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The heads of the government agencies reported to the Chairman of the Security Council on the progress of the implementation of the Concept of the establishment and development of the Armed Forces.

The participants discussed the practical plane of efforts to upgrade and modernise other troops, including security forces.

Commenting on the reports, the President set a number of specific tasks to the high-ranking officials, including the qualitative improvement of the national military infrastructure.

Speaking at the festive event marking the 30th anniversary of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, the President highlighted the need to enhance constructive cooperation with security forces of the strategic partners of Kazakhstan in the realities of our time.
