Tokayev orders to increase effectiveness of youth employment programmes

The President reviewed the work being done by the Ministry of Labour, including pension issues and the development of the Social Code.

On July 11, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev met with Minister of Labour Tamara Duisenova, who reported on the work being done by the Ministry, including pension issues and the development of the Social Code, the press office of Akorda reported to CentralAsia.news.

The Minister unformed the President about the approaches to developing a new social policy which would aim to improve the welfare of every family in Kazakhstan and facilitate employment opportunities.

Duisenova reported on the plans to create a Digital Family Card and expand the Social Services Portal and the Social Treasury Information System. Given various geopolitical changes and increasing pressure on the labour market, Tokayev reviewed the plans for strengthening the migration policy.

Commenting on the report, the Kazakh leader instructed to take immediate measures to solve urgent social and labour problems. He highlighted the importance of increasing the effectiveness of youth employment programmes and improving the mechanisms of the social protection system.
