On July 7, the Task Force to Combat Coronavirus held a meeting in Bishkek. The participants decided not to terminate the state of emergency in Kyrgyzstan that was declared in March 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic, the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov chaired the meeting. He stressed that citizens need to learn to live with this infection, which spreads throughot the country in multiple waves every year, noting that those who have not been vaccinated put themselves in great danger.

The government agencies were instructed to increase vaccination coverage of the local population. It was noted that Kyrgyzstan has all the necessary resources to respond to any scenario of the coronavirus pandemic. According to the Ministry of Health, it makes no sense to impose any restrictions on the territory of the country.

Earlier, Head of the department of the Ministry of Health Nurida Zhusupbekova said the red zone would be opened first at the Republican Clinical Hospital for Infectious Diseases if there was an increase in the incidence.
