Kyrgyzstan to allocate 13 billion soms to build important social facilities

It was noted that 12.5 billion soms will be allocated to ensure energy security.

On June 30, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov informed that 13 billion soms will be allocated to build schools, health care institutions and other social facilities in the country this year at the first session meeting of the Parliment of VII convocation, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The Presdient noted that 12.5 billion soms have been allocated this year to ensure energy security of Kyrgyzstan. For comparison, 3.4 billion soms were allocated for this purpose in 2021.

The Kyrgyz leader reminded that the state is facing a big problem: the peak of external debt repayments and the search for sources of financing.

“Over the next 10 years, we will have to pay off the debts that we have accumulated over 30 years,” the President said.

Kyrgyzstan must pay off 23 billion soms on its external debt in 2022 and about 25 billion soms in 2023.

Japarov noted that if Kyrgyzstan fails to pay its debts on time, its independence will be put in jeopardy.
