Residents of district of Bishkek tell parliamentarian about their housing problems

The parliamentarian noted that all issues raised would be taken under strict control.

A member of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic Shailoobek Atazov met with the residents of Sverdlovsk district, who raised the issues related to housing and communal services, local infrastructure improvement and development and beautification of the district, the press office of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The residents complained that despite numerous applications the district remains unconnected to the municipal water supply and sewerage networks for 30 years. Addressing their complaints, Vice Mayor of Bishkek Oleg Popikov said the relevant work has begun, and the tender has been announced.

The residents told the parliamentarian about the poor condition of internal roads and asked to pave them with asphalt. They also raised the gas supply problems. A representative of Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC noted that gas is supplied to the district, and a gas pipeline to a number of residential buildings need to be built.

Following the meeting, the parliamentarian stressed that he would take all issues raised at the meeting under control and instructed that the municipal services take measures to resolve these problems.
