The Vice Prime Minister of Turkmenistan in charge of the financial and economic sector Muhammetguly Mukhammedov took part in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting via video conference. As part of the event, its participants approved a plan to ensure information security in the CIS, reported the electronic newspaper «Golden Age».

The document implies a set of measures aimed at implementing a strategy to prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, distortion or destruction of information. Emphasis will be placed on protecting national interests. The plan takes into account approaches that are already used in the CIS countries.

The process will be regulated by Coordination Council of the CIS Member-States on informatization at the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communication.

Earlier Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the development of national standards and methods in the field of information security that comply with international standards is one of the most important vectors within the further development of the Central Asian country.
