Tokayev donates books on ancient Turkic history to Nation’s Library

While visiting the library in Ankara, the Kazakh leader could see the rare ancient manuscripts.

On May 11, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev visited the Nation’s Library of the Presidency during his official visit to Turkey. Upon concluding his visit to the “temple of science”, Tokayev donated a number of books on the history of the ancient Turkic states, the Golden Horde and the period of independence of Kazakhstan to the library, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.

The President began his visit to the palace of books with the repository that stores the ancient books, which are of the greatest value for modern science. Scientific treatises of the well-known scholars and historical documents were shown to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The distinguished guest visited the Cihannuma Hall that stores the books in 134 languages from more than 100 countries of the world. This department of the library stores the books about 16 Turkic states that have made the tremendous contribution to world history.

Upon concluding his visit, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev donated a number of books about the history of the ancient Turkic states, the Golden Horde and the period of independence of Kazakhstan to the employees of the Nation’s Library of the Presidency.
