Bishkek and Baku to build bilateral relations in new format

It was noted that the parties would join efforts to significantly enhance their cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples.

On April 20, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with the leader of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during his official visit to Baku. The interlocutors discussed a wide range of aspects of bilateral cooperation, including in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and investment sectors, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports. It was noted that the parties would join efforts to significantly enhance their cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples.

The President of Azerbaijan expressed belief that the parties would maximise the results following the talks.

He noted that the signing of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership is a significant event, as the countries have never had relations go this far over the years of bilateral cooperation.

Emphasising that ongoing reforms enable the parties to build a new type of relations, the two leaders noted the significant interstate potential, particularly in the trade and economic sectors.

Japarov said he was ready to work productively with the Azerbaijani side and expressed hope that through joint efforts the two peoples would contribute to building a better world.
