On March 23, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan Baktybek Kudaibergenov, who reported on the ongoing preparations for the population and housing censuses and the ongoing activities of the Committee, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
Kudaibergenov informed that the National Statistical Committee is prepared fully for the upcoming population and housing censuses that are scheduled to take place from March 25 to April 3, 2022. The event will take place from April 23 to May 2 of the year.
He reported that about 28,000 temporary census takers were hired, and training seminars were held for census personnel. All financial issues related to the event were addressed.
It will be the first time that Kyrgyzstan will conduct the population and housing censuses in the digital format.
Sadyr Japarov instructed to intensify large-scale census preparatory and awareness raising activities to inform the population about the upcoming campaign.
