On March 17, the solemn opening ceremony of the four-star hotel Rumi Hotel and Residences took place in the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan. President Emomali Rahmon and his son, Mayor of Dushanbe, Speaker of the upper house of the Parliament Rustam Emomali attended the ceremony, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported.
The hotel has 84 deluxe rooms and the standard rooms for 168 guests. The facility was built by the Tajik companies in accordance with the master plan of the capital city. Rahmon expressed gratitude to domestic entrepreneurs for their work.
The hotel has three conference and meeting halls and a large restaurant, located on the ground floor. The restaurant is designed for 120 guests. The facility occupies an area of 4,176 square metres.
The new hotel can receive 200 guests simultaneously. The main aim of the construction project of the hotel, located on Mirzo Tursunzade Street in Shokhmansur district, is to enhance the tourism potential of Tajikistan. The hotel created over 50 new jobs.
