On February 17, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received a delegation of the Saudi Fund for Development, headed by Director General of Asia Operations Saud Al-Shammari. Japarov highly evaluated the role of the Fund in promoting bilateral cooperation, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The President emphasised that the Saudi Fund for Development provides significant support to economic development of Kyrgyzstan, including the implementation of projects in the agricultural, healthcare, irrigation and road construction sectors and the construction of schools.
The interlocutors discussed the aspects of cooperation under the National Housing Programme for 2021-2026 “My Home” and considered the possibility of cooperation with the Fund to implement it.
Saud Al-Shammari commended the efforts of the Kyrgyz side to create affordable mortgage mechanisms for the needy citizens of the country to purchase an apartment or house.
The participants in the talks agreed to implement joint projects in the future.
