Member of Kyrgyz Parliament proposes to simplify border crossing procedures for tourists

Deputies discussed social and economic issues during the regular meeting.

On February 3, a deputy of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Torobaev put forward a number of proposals during a regular meeting. In particular, Torobaev suggested opening a checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border and simplify crossing border for tourists, the press office of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan reported.

A deputy of Parliament Kamila Taliyeva highlighted the lack of educational institutions in Leilek Region.

The school in Zhargyshtak village was built using the “ashar” method; instead of 150 children, 450 schoolchildren study at school. A new school needs to be built, she said.

She reminded about the incident between a teacher and a schoolboy of one of the schools in Alamedin district and suggested that the Ministry of Education and Science consider conflict situations more thoroughly.

Along with other issues, the deputies discussed the urgent problems in the healthcare sector, namely the provision of medicines to citizens and improvement of the quality of medical services and infrastructure of health institutions.
