On January 7, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Temurbeklar Maktabi Military Academic Lyceum of the State Security Service and Amir Temur Academy at the State Security Service. This academic year, 100 most deserving young people have been selected out of 5,600 applicants. As of today, 220 young people study at the Lyceum, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reports.
The Lyceum has 5 departments: exact sciences, social sciences and humanities, foreign languages, psychology and educational work and vocational and applied training. Highly qualified lecturers, selected in an open competition, work at the departments.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the language laboratory and the rooms of psychodiagnostics and spirituality. The leader of Uzbekistan also met with students of the Lyceum at the centre for the studies in the heritage of Amir Temur.
“I congratulate you and your parents on your study at such a progressive school. You are the wings of new Uzbekistan. You must know perfectly at least two or three languages, exact sciences and our history. We have introduced the subject of psychology at this school, study it well,” the President said.
Mirziyoyev visited the library, where the young people told the leader of Uzbekistan about the conditions created at the educational institution and the friendly atmosphere. Children from the orphanages are among the students of the Lyceum.
