Presidents of several countries congratulate Berdimuhamedov on New Year

They wished the leader and citizens of Turkmenistan well-being and prosperity.

On the occasion of the New Year President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received congratulatory letters from leaders and prime ministers of a number of countries. They commended the interstate relations and expressed their hope for further strengthening of the partnership. It was reported by the news agency «Turkmenistan Today» on January 2.

The head of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in noted that last year Ashgabat and Seoul helped humanity together.

President and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Mikhail Mishustin noted that in 2021 relations between Moscow and Ashgabat were developing dynamically. According to the head of the Russian government, the countries have reached important agreements in trade, economy, investment and innovations.

Chairman of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that a new impetus will be given to the Armenian-Turkmen cooperation in the new year. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko underlined that the respective countries are constantly strengthening cooperation for the benefit of their citizens.

The head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev positively assessed the meetings and negotiations with Berdimuhamedov. According to him important agreements were reached during the events.

President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog invited his counterpart from Turkmenistan to pay an official visit to Jerusalem to discuss the possibilities of deepening relations. He expressed hope that this year Israeli Ambassador Beth-Eden Kite will present his credentials to Berdimuhamedov, and the construction of the permanent office of the country in Ashgabat will continue.

The presidents of Singapore, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland, Slovenia, the United Arab Emirates and the prime ministers of India and Iraq also congratulated the Turkmen leader on the New Year.
