Sanitary and epidemiological situation remains stable in Kazakhstan

The Minister of Health said there was no evidence of increase in the number of daily confirmed cases.

On December 14, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a meeting on the sanitary and epidemiological situation with the heads of state bodies, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

Minister of Health Alexei Tsoi reported that the sanitary and epidemiological situation remained stable in the country. There is no evidence of increase in the number of daily confirmed cases. The occupancy rate of infectious and intensive care beds in hospitals remains the same.

Reporting on the geography of the spread of coronavirus disease, the Minister said most of the regions of Kazakhstan were in the green zone. Reporting on the vaccine rollout, the official said 8.8 million citizens had received the first dose, and more than 8.3 million had received the second dose.

Commenting on the report, the Prime Minister instructed to ensure facemasks were used and a social distance was kept and to maintain high vaccination and revaccination coverage.
