On November 20, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov took part in a solemn event marking the Day of employees of state prosecutor’s offices. He noted that honest as well as unconscionable people were among those working at prosecutor’s offices, the press office the Kyrgyz leader reported to CentralAsia.news.
He said there were many people with strong beliefs among the prosecutors who were wholeheartedly devoted to their profession and spared no effort to restore justice.
Japarov emphasised that there were unconscionable people among those working at prosecutor’s offices as well. The President highlighted the need to get rid of such people, adding that many of them had been detained and fired.
The President noted that the constitutional reform empowered the Prosecutor General with the right to initiate legislation. He also called on prosecutors to be a model for high-quality investigation of cases, so that people would find protection, turning to the authorities.
