Russia resumes flights to Bishkek, Osh and Issyk-Kul Region

Akylbek Japarov holds bilateral meetings with his foreign counterparts on the sidelines of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan.

On November 18, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov met with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin on the sidelines of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan. The interlocutors discussed the prospects for furthering bilateral mutually beneficial partnerships, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation informed the Kyrgyz side about the resumption of flights to three cities of Kyrgyzstan: Bishkek, Osh and Issyk-Kul Region.

Mishustin said Russia was ready to assist in opening vote centres for Kyrgyz citizens in Russia for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Japarov expressed gratitude to Moscow for providing assistance in restoring Batken Region affected by the border conflict and supplying the coronavirus vaccines.

The parties noted the importance of strengthening bilateral humanitarian relations. In particular, they discussed the Russian Teacher Abroad Project that had been implemented successfully in Kyrgyzstan since 2019.
