Oxford School opens in Tajikistan

The educational institution is located in Khujand city in Sughd Region.

On October 8, the first international school of a new type in the country, the Oxford School, opened in Khujand city in Sughd Region of the Republic of Tajikistan. The educational institution was built on the instructions of President Emomali Rahmon by local businessman Saidmurod Davlatov, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported.

The entrepreneur spent 17,695,000 somoni (about US$ 1.56 million) on the construction of the school. The institution is designed for 550 schoolchildren, as well as 50 preschool children. The facility consists of two four-storey buildings, each of which has 36 classrooms and rooms.

Classes at the Oxford School will be held in the English and Russian languages in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum. The total number of teachers is 32, 14 of whom are foreign specialists with extensive work experience at prestigious international schools. Upon graduation, the graduates will receive an international certificate of education of this educational institution.

Davlatov has built a number of enterprises and workshops, innovative greenhouses and super-intensive gardens throughout the country.
