In Ashgabat ambulances use modern GPS

The global positioning system allows use time necessary to get to the patient more efficiently.

In Turkmenistan, within the framework of the decrees of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the work of the ambulance service is improved on a regular basis. The corresponding vehicles are equipped with advanced GPS navigators, and doctors and paramedics use walkie-talkies. It was reported by the «Neutral Turkmenistan» newspaper on October 7.

The device, which receives signals from the global positioning system in order to determine its current location, helps the emergency ambulance center of the capital to use time, which is so valuable for human health, more efficiently.

An electronic map of Ashgabat is used to locate the patient. Communication with the institution until the arrival of the ambulance is maintained with walkie-talkies. In difficult situations, a doctor or paramedic can consult with other specialists using the modern transceiver device.

It must be added that this year the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave the ambulance service of the capital two helicopters and 50 ambulances for free.
