Tajikistan leaves coronavirus plateau

This was stated by a Tajik virologist Saidbek Sattorov. According to him, the situation is stable and declining now.

On September 10, a Tajik virologist Saidbek Sattorov in an interview with the Khovar State News Agency said Tajikistan had left the coronavirus plateau, and the number of coronavirus cases reported each day was falling. Professor at Abuali Ibni Sino Tajik State Medical University emphasised that the process began in early September this year.

According to Sattorov, the coronavirus situation in the Republic is stable and declining now. He recalled that before leaving the plateau, from 40 to 46 new cases per day were reported in the country.

The epidemiological situation changed in early September; daily numbers of coronavirus patients decreased to 20-29. The number of new cases is lower now, the scientist says. Sattorov noted that COVID-19 cases hit a plateau in the country on August 20.

As of September 10, the laboratories in Tajikistan have identified 12 new cases. The total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 17,064.
