Prime Minister of Kazakhstan instructs to step up fight against coronavirus pandemic

The epidemiological situation in the country remains difficult.

On August 3, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a remote government meeting to discuss the difficult sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country, the press office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

It was reported that the epidemiological situation remained difficult. Coronavirus patients occupy 54% of hospital beds and 44% of intensive care beds. Currently, all the regions, except for Turkestan region, are in the red zone.

Minister of Health Alexei Tsoi reported that 55.4% of the population had been vaccinated. 5.5 million have received the first vaccine dose, and 4 million have been fully vaccinated.

The Prime Minister instructed that the regional administrations and the health department continue to supply key medicines and monitor the operations of all hospitals, emergency departments, rapid response teams and laboratories. Together with the Ministry of Health, the internal affairs subdivisions were instructed to strengthen the work of the crews responsible for monitoring compliance with regulations.

The Prime Minister urged to feel the distortions of restrictive measures to maintain entrepreneurial activity. He highlighted the benefits of the ASHUG platform that helped businesses to work under quarantine restrictions.
