New rules for citizens of Kazakhstan travelling to RF

Restrictions on travellers crossing the Kazakhstan-Russian Federation land border remain in effect, and only certain categories of travellers are authorised for entry.

The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation informed that the new rules would come into force for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan wishing to enter the Russian Federation from July 25. They must confirm a negative test result for coronavirus via the Travel without COVID-19 mobile application.

In accordance with the Order of the RF Council of Ministers, citizens of Kazakhstan arriving in Russia by air need to present a negative PCR test done no more than 72 hours prior to departure.

The message of the diplomatic mission says the new rules also apply to travellers from the EAEU member countries – Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. From September 1, passengers from Azerbaijan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will be required to travel using the Traveling without COVID 19 mobile application.

The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation once again drew special attention to the fact that restrictions on travellers crossing the Kazakhstan-Russian Federation land border remained in effect, and only certain categories of travellers were authorised for entry.
