This will be done within the concept of partnership with compatriots in national economic development.
The authorities of Tajikistan approved the plan of action to support the implementation of the 2021-2025 concept of partnership with compatriots in national economic development, the press office of the Ministry of Justice reported on June 14.
The action plan consists of 24 steps. These include the establishment of institutional and legal relations with persons who work outside their home country, permanent relationships and partnership with labour migrants in national economic development. The plan provides for the creation of a website, a public fund and a coordination council.
As part of the concept, cultural and awareness-raising events will be organised for compatriots in foreign countries. They will mainly aim at maintaining national values and the Tajik language. Labour migrants who will take the most active part in these events will receive state awards.
Most of citizens of Tajikistan go abroad to work in the Russian Federation. According to the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, remittances of migrants decreased by 32% last year, as compared with 2019.
