Showroom in Dushanbe promotes Uzbek goods

The exhibition hall is to present the industrial potential of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan’s business circles.

On June 13, the National Showroom “Made in Uzbekistan”, where manufacturers from 15 industries of the Republic of Uzbekistan displayed their goods, opened in the capital of Tajikistan. The exhibition hall is to present the industrial potential of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan’s business circles, the press office of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan reported.

The exhibition hall that covers an area of 600 square metres will operate on a permanent basis. The exhibition features agricultural products, foods, building materials, textiles and apparel, leather accessories and footwear, silk fabrics, electronic goods and household appliances, furniture, sanitary ware and jewellery.

The showroom serves not only as an exhibition area, but also as a platform for fruitful business talks and strong long-term relationships among producers and customers. The manufacturers from Uzbekistan say Tajik market has excellent potential for dynamic development. The exhibition aroused much interest among visitors in its first days.

A number of the exporters of building materials and leather goods reached preliminary agreement on the delivery of their commodities to Tajikistan. Firm export contracts are expected to be concluded soon.
